JARL Ham Fair 2010 Report

JARL Ham Fair 2010 was held at Tokyo Big Sight , Ariake, Tokyo
on August 21st (Sat) and 22nd (Sun). We had about 31,000 participants for two days.
Thanks to all visitors, manufacturers, retailers, clubs and volunteers at JARL Ham Fair 2010.

Ham Fair 2011 will be held on August 27th (Sat) and 28th (Sun) 2011 at the same place.
 
We hope to see you again in 2011!

We've checked 291 applications this year.

Special Event for children:
The Kit Building
Young boys and girls were building
with great pleasure their IC radio kit
or Morse code training kit and other.
The Electronic Toys
The existence of electricity is to be
understood from an easy experiment.
For example, a lot of children are
interested as a small ball is adsorbed
to others by static electricity caused by
rubbing ebonite stick.
Booth Stamp Hunt
For children under 12 years, they can receive small goods
if they collect stamps prepared at the specific booths.

Emergency Communications Forum
This forum was done on August 22 by the JARL and volunteers.
More than 60 participants were at the forum.

Eyeball QSO Party

Eyeball QSO party was held at the New Tokyo restaurant from 17:30 JST on August 21st.
The room was crowded by about 180 participants to this party. Those were members of JARL,
directors of JARL, a manager of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC),
representatives of member societies of IARU and some foreign radio amateurs.
The participants of the party had greeted and chatted their amateur radio activities each other.

A lot of participants were in the room.   JAIA President JA3FA made greeting speech and toast.
